Upcycle Newcastle is a local community group dedicated to the circular economy and reducing textile waste by promoting creative reuse and repair. Instead of viewing waste as something to be discarded, we see it as an opportunity for a new beginning. Concerned about our environment and the waste generated by society, we try to respond with positive, creative solutions, inspiring and teaching others to transform discarded textiles and materials into exciting new and useful upcycled items.

The products we sell are made by Upcycle Newcastle members in Newcastle, Australia. They're made from T-shirts, jeans and other clothing and textiles donated to us by Samaritans Op shops (their discards) and by others. This prevents them from going to landfill, or being shipped overseas to countries being inundated with our clothing waste.

When you support us by buying our products, coming to our workshops or becoming a member, you are helping to continue our work in raising awareness, teaching practical skills and providing alternatives that strengthen the circular economy. Through creative reuse and repair, we are all reducing textile waste to landfill. Thank you!
